Vivienne and Philip Taylor run Underleigh House, a bed and breakfast set back down a private lane off Lose Hill Lane between Hope and Edale. The house is a Victorian longhouse built in 1873, since converted into four guest suites, each named after local landmarks such as Thornhill and Derwent, with private sitting areas attached to some rooms. Breakfast is served in a beamed dining hall and built around local and home-made produce rather than a standard buffet. A guest lounge with an open fire and a garden with seating give visitors somewhere to sit outside mealtimes. The house holds Visit England's Gold Award and a Rose Award, and has featured in the Good Hotel Guide. It operates as non-smoking throughout and provides free Wi-Fi across the property.
