Ain't Nothin' But has operated as a dedicated blues venue at 20 Kingly Street since 1993, running live music every night of the week rather than as a side attraction to a standard bar programme. A typical evening opens with an acoustic set around 6:30pm on weekdays, moving to a full band from around 9pm, and the venue is known for open jam sessions that draw in upwards of fifty musicians across a week. There is no reservation system or guest list; entry is first come, first served, with a cover charge introduced after early evening on Wednesday to Saturday. The room is small and restricted to over-18s, with a late licence that keeps music running past 1am on Thursdays to Saturdays. It has operated independently through more than three decades in the same basement-level Soho premises, presented by its owners as the home of the blues in central London, distinct from the area's larger commercial music venues.
