Cedric Chirossel runs the front of house and Richard Guest the kitchen, as they have since 2011, in a small courtyard bistro off St James Street that the Michelin Guide keeps listing and the Good Food Guide keeps calling reliable — which, in guide language, is high praise sustained across fifteen years. The cooking moves easily between British, French and Asian registers with daily specials chalked alongside, and the courtyard earns its keep in summer. An independent of the steadiest kind: two owners, one room, no plans to be anything else.
