The Danish Bacon Shop has traded from Clifton Street in Splott since 1968, one of two remaining butchers on a street that once held several. Kevin Wilson runs the counter today, continuing a business built around pork: bacon, sausages, faggots, pies and cooked meats sit alongside fresh cuts of meat and poultry. Customers can buy single items rather than fixed packs, down to one sausage or one slice of ham, and ask for slices cut to a specific thickness. The shop keeps the layout of a traditional high-street butcher rather than a deli counter, with produce displayed behind glass and served to order. It has no other branches and has stayed at the same Clifton Street address through changes of ownership under the same trading name. Splott Market runs at the weekend nearby on Lewis Road.
