DBM Wines

DBM Wines was founded in 2009 by Richard Davis, Aidan Bell and Susan McCraith, whose initials give the business its name, initially trading from Leigh Court, a Georgian mansion south of the city. The merchant later moved into a single shop and office on Princess Victoria Street in Clifton Village, where it now sells wine by the bottle and case to the public alongside a trade and events side of the business. Staff run tastings in the shop and select much of the range directly from growers in France, Italy and Spain rather than through large distributors. The Clifton Village premises is DBM's only public-facing site, run day to day by Richard Davis, who is often behind the counter advising customers on a bottle for that evening's dinner.
