Neil and Rosie Dugard were made redundant six weeks apart — she from Microsoft, he close behind — and answered corporate life by opening a butcher's in a railway arch under Herne Hill station in 2013, named for their two daughters. The beef dry-ages a minimum of four weeks in chillers they built for the purpose, everything is free-range or rare-breed, and the arch has since seeded two more counters in Earlsfield and Putney — a three-site family company, disclosed as such, with both founders still the only directors. The Putney branch's one-year profile ran in October 2025; the arch remains the mothership, trains overhead included.
