Four friends launched the bakery at the end of 2019 in a unit on the old Western Power depot at Kings Hill — hence Electric — and the loaves keep to four ingredients: flour, water, salt and time, raised on wild yeast. Covid arrived a couple of months in and turned the operation wholesale, which still underpins the business; the counter sells the daily bread, pastries and weekly specials five mornings a week, click-and-collect runs online, and Ben's sourdough course teaches the method to anyone who wants it. Three of the four founders still run the place.
