Fireside Bookshop

Fireside Bookshop is a secondhand, antiquarian, and academic bookshop at 8 Rowcroft in Stroud town centre, run by Rob and Barb Sheppard, who have traded as booksellers since 1980. The business began in the Midlands before relocating to the Lake District and then Sussex, settling most recently in Stroud, where the couple's daughter Martha and her husband Ben have joined the shop full time. The shelves hold a wide-ranging general stock across academic and antiquarian subjects, with more than fifteen thousand of the shop's titles also catalogued for sale online through antiquarian book listing sites. The Sheppards are members of the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association. The shop is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm, and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
