Gazzano's has traded as an Italian delicatessen on Farringdon Road for four generations of the same family. Current directors Joseph, Lucy and Ruth Gazzano took over the business from their father, Joe Gazzano, who ran the counter until his death in 2010. The shop stocks more than twenty Italian cheeses and cured meats, dried pasta in every shape, and olive oils alongside a small range of Italian wines and grappa. At the back, an espresso bar sells panini and takeaway pasta to the lunchtime trade. Every December the deli lays out one of the largest panettone selections in London, inside a shop small enough that reviewers note the tight space at the counter.
