Jurassic BoatTrips

Jurassic Boat Trips is run by skipper Shawn Trinder aboard Susie B, an MCA-certified boat that carries up to ten passengers and works up to twenty miles offshore from Lyme Regis. Trips depart from the harbour at the Cobb and include sightseeing cruises along the fossil-bearing cliffs of the Jurassic Coast, mackerel fishing in season, deep-sea fishing charters further out, and private charters for groups. The boat has a side door fitted for easier boarding and disembarking, making trips more accessible than a typical small charter boat. Bookings are taken directly by phone or online rather than through a general tour agency, and trips run across the year rather than only in peak summer months, weather and sea conditions permitting. Lyme Regis has several small operators working from the same harbour, and Jurassic Boat Trips is one of the longer-established of the current independent boats.
