Little HeathFarm Shop

Little Heath Farm Shop occupies a working farm within the National Trust's Dunham Massey estate, on Cow Lane near Altrincham. Mark and Sue Jones took on the tenancy in 2003 with their children Tom and Sarah, opening the shop in 2006 to sell meat reared on their own land. The counter carries Aberdeen Angus and Hereford beef, free-range pork and lamb, venison from Dunham Massey's deer park, and home-made sausages and burgers, including a gluten-free line. Vegetables, dairy and other local produce fill out the shelves alongside the meat. The shop is a single site, run directly by the Jones family rather than supplied through wholesalers, and trades Wednesday to Sunday. Its position inside the deer park estate ties the produce directly to the surrounding grazed parkland.
