Runaway Brewery

Mark Welsby founded Runaway Brewery in 2014, originally brewing from a unit on Dantzic Street in Manchester before relocating the whole operation to Astley Street in central Stockport in early 2023. The new site combines a working microbrewery with a taproom and a separate bottle shop, tucked behind the Pineapple pub near the town centre. Beers are unfiltered and unpasteurised, brewed in small batches rather than scaled up for wide distribution. The taproom pours ten keg lines and two cask beers each week, alongside a bottled range to drink in or take home. Brewery tours run alongside tastings for visitors who want to see the kit behind the pours.
