Pottery Corner occupies a small studio on Beech Road in Chorlton, opened by Mauro after two decades working as a designer travelling internationally. He took over a run-down local unit and converted it into a paint-a-pot and clay studio aimed at complete beginners as much as regular potters. Sessions cover pottery painting, hand-building and baby handprint keepsakes, alongside parties and one-off events; classes are offered throughout the week and booking ahead is recommended since the space is small and fills quickly at weekends. The studio has been trading since 2019, sitting a few doors from the Laundrette restaurant. Take-home kits are available for those who want to continue painting pieces at home rather than in the studio itself.
