Franny andFiler

Franny and Filer has traded on Beech Road in Chorlton since 2009, when jewellery designers Frances Stunt and Abby Filer opened a shop to sell their own work alongside pieces by other UK makers. The gallery shows jewellery from more than 40 designers working in silver, gold, enamel and cast metal, ranging from everyday rings to commissioned pieces. Stunt and Filer continue to design and make jewellery on the premises and offer a repair and remodelling service for customers' own pieces. The business remains a single shop on Chorlton Green, run directly by its two founders rather than expanded to further branches or franchised out. Beech Road is the parade of independent shops at the centre of Chorlton, and Franny and Filer has traded there for over fifteen years.
