Jack's Bar occupies a former shop just off the market square on Hamnett Street in Hyde. The site opened as a micropub in October 2017, initially trading as the Tweed Tap and selling beer from the now-closed Tweed Brewery, before a refurbishment and rebrand under current landlady Claire Rowbotham gave the small, plainly fitted room its present name. Three changing cask ales are served at a time, always including one dark beer, with trio taster flights offered for customers wanting to sample before committing to a pint. The pub was named Pub of the Season for summer 2025 by the local CAMRA branch covering High Peak, Tameside and the Goyt Valley. It sits two minutes from Hyde bus station.
