Mile anda Third

Mile and a Third is a micropub and bottle shop on Hamlet Court Road in Westcliff-on-Sea, opened in March 2019 in a converted shop unit. The L-shaped space combines a bottle shop stocked with craft beer, real ale, cider, wine and spirits with a small bar offering two real ales on gravity dispense and eight keg lines, with vinyl records playing over the sound system. Independently owned, the business takes its name from the length of Southend Pier and was named South East Essex CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2020, among other local branch honours since. Customers can drink in or buy bottles and cans to take away, and the range of beer changes regularly, with an emphasis on smaller UK and European breweries over mainstream brands. It sits among a small cluster of independent food and drink shops on Hamlet Court Road, a short walk from Westcliff seafront.
