Out On The Floor Records has traded vinyl from 10 Inverness Street in Camden Town for more than three decades, run by owner Jake. The shop stocks new and secondhand records across soul, funk, rock, punk, indie, jazz, electronic, hip-hop and world music, but Jake's own passion for reggae shows in an especially deep stock of new and old Jamaican vinyl. The business also runs its own label, Tuff Scout, releasing reggae alongside the records it sells. Crates are organised by genre rather than alphabetically within each section, rewarding customers willing to dig rather than search for a specific pressing. Its position on Inverness Street puts it a short walk from Camden Market, though the shop predates much of the current retail around it. Regulars treat it as a fixture of Camden's music scene rather than a passing attraction.
