Giacobazzi's Delicatessen opened at 150 Fleet Road in February 1991, founded by Raff and Renata Giacobazzi, who moved from just outside Bologna and built the shop around Emilia-Romagna cooking. Their son Carlo later joined the business once he was old enough to work the counter. Fresh pasta is rolled and hand-filled daily in the kitchen behind the shop, alongside pizza, focaccia and cakes, with truffle, porcini mushrooms and slow-cooked ragu central to the counter's identity. The shelves carry ingredients sourced from across Italy rather than Emilia-Romagna alone. Giacobazzi's has traded from this single Fleet Road address for over three decades, without opening a second branch elsewhere in London.
