Bernardo and Androulla opened La Gaffe on Heath Street in Hampstead in 1962. Their son Lorenzo now runs the guesthouse, which keeps the terraced cottage style of architecture from the 1850s. Rooms come in five types, from single and twin to a family room and a deluxe double, each with continental breakfast included. The restaurant is currently closed, though the on-site bar continues to serve guests, and the hotel takes bookings directly through its own website as well as through agents. It stands on Heath Street a few minutes from Hampstead Underground station, above the shops of the village's high street.
