The Rose & Crown has stood on Lammas Street in Carmarthen as a family-run free house since 1972, currently in its second generation of the same family. The pub keeps a rotating line of real ales alongside craft gins and cask ciders, and is commended in the Good Beer Guide. Food service runs from morning through evening, with a separate Sunday lunch sitting, and the building also holds nine en-suite bedrooms above the bar, refurbished for guests staying in town rather than the countryside hotels further out. A beer garden at the rear is dog-friendly, and match days bring in a crowd for the sports screens, though the front bar keeps its older pub character with a long wooden counter and regulars who have been drinking there since the 1970s.
