The Stag's Head Inn is a village freehouse in Yarlington, a hamlet a few miles from Wincanton, trading from a stone building that first opened as an inn in the 1850s. It operates as a family-run gastropub, pouring cask ales and local cider alongside a menu built around locally sourced meat and seasonal vegetables. The layout keeps a low-beamed bar and a separate snug for quieter drinking, plus a garden used for outdoor tables through summer. The pub closed for a period in late 2023 and reopened under its current family ownership in summer 2025, since re-establishing itself as the main gathering point for Yarlington and neighbouring villages. Six letting rooms above the bar give travellers on the Wincanton-to-Bruton road somewhere to stay overnight.
