Susan and Scott Bennett have owned the Strathearn Gallery on Crieff's West High Street since 2013, continuing a space that first opened in 1994. The gallery gives its walls to contemporary Scottish painters alongside glass artists, ceramicists and sculptors from further afield, changing the hang every few weeks so an oil landscape one month might give way to blown glass vessels the next. Visitors can browse two rooms of work without an appointment, and the Bennetts are usually on hand to talk through an artist's background or technique. The gallery takes part in Scotland's Own Art interest-free loan scheme, making an original piece a realistic purchase rather than a browse-only proposition for most visitors.
