The Cafe

The Cafe occupies a corner unit on Showell Circus in Wolverhampton, serving all-day breakfasts, sandwiches and lunch plates to a mostly local, repeat trade. Craig and Jane took over the business in November 2014, and it now runs under their daughters, Becca and Danni, who kept the format largely unchanged: cooked breakfasts, filled cobs and a short specials board chalked up each morning. The dining room is small, with a handful of tables and counter service for takeaway orders. It opens early, from eight on weekdays and nine on Saturdays, closing by mid-afternoon and shutting entirely on Sundays. There is no website; regulars find it through the shopfront and word of mouth rather than social media, and bookings are not taken.
