Vintage & Vinyl trades from the first floor of Derby Market Hall on Tennant Street, run by Dan Sweeney. Before opening the stall, Sweeney spent twenty-seven years at Rolls-Royce, then ran Belper Antiques Centre and Record Store for six years, a shop that once featured on the television programme Antiques Road Trip. The current stall stocks vinyl, CDs and tapes across genres alongside vintage clothing, jewellery, china, brewery memorabilia and militaria, laid out across a single crowded stand in the restored Victorian hall. Stock turns over constantly, since much of it is bought in from house clearances and private collections rather than wholesale. The stall keeps long hours some evenings, open until ten on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
