Tony opened Vinyl Tap opposite Huddersfield railway station on John William Street in 1985, and the shop still trades across two floors, new releases upstairs and secondhand vinyl, CDs and cassettes priced from 50 pence to 15 pounds in the basement. Stock runs to more than 150,000 items, with particular depth in deleted pressings, promos, imports and Record Store Day exclusives. The shop reports sales to the Official Charts Company and takes part in the annual Dinked Edition series. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5:30pm on the main floor and 10am to 4pm in the basement.
