The Grayston Unity is an independent bar and live music venue founded by Michael and Jess Ainsworth, who opened the original premises in a former electrical shop on 24 May 2016. In October 2023 the business relocated to its current home at 8 Horton Street, in Halifax's Westgate Quarter, taking over part of a former county court building dating from the 1860s, where the bar itself occupies what was once the carriage entrance. The name honours the founder's mother's family, former owners of a Keighley brewery whose pubs included the Turkey Inn at Goose Eye. A single site with a 110-capacity main room, a 14-person snug and a roof terrace, it has been named Calderdale CAMRA's Pub of the Season and programmes live music, spoken word and film alongside beers from Cloudwater, Thornbridge and Saltaire.
