West Street Potters runs ceramics classes from Farnham Pottery, a Grade II listed Victorian pottery building dating to 1872 at Wrecclesham on the edge of Farnham. The classes were established under Farnham School of Art more than fifty years ago and have continued on the same site since, now offering ten pottery and three sculpture classes a week across three twelve-week terms a year. Members throw, hand-build, glaze and fire their own work in the studio's kilns, alongside a wider community of other makers based in the same Farnham Pottery buildings. Day and evening sessions run Monday to Thursday for up to thirteen students at a time, with beginners and experienced potters taught together. The building itself, once known for its chimney pots and architectural terracotta, is one of the better-preserved Victorian country potteries in England.
