Wooden BoxGallery

The Wooden Box Gallery opened on Ramsgate High Street in December 2021, set up by the artist Rebekah Sunshine as a space where she could continue her own painting practice while showing the work of other artists. The gallery mixes professional and amateur makers in the same room, deliberately staying open to painters and printmakers regardless of training or exhibiting history. Shows change regularly, with a programme Sunshine curates herself alongside running the gallery day to day. The building's plain, wood-lined interior gives the gallery its name, and its position on the high street keeps it visible to passing shoppers rather than tucked into a side street.
