Y Felin is a working watermill on Mill Street in St Dogmaels, restored to full operation in 1981 by miller Mike Hall after years of disuse. His daughter Emma, the second generation to run the mill, continues to grind stoneground flour using only the power of the waterwheel, sourcing grain from small family farms in the surrounding area. The mill produces flour for bread, cakes and pastries, sold on site alongside home-baked goods from the adjoining tea room, which serves scones and cakes to visitors. Guided tours of the machinery are offered when time allows, giving a rare view of one of the last working watermills in Wales still milling by water power alone. The business operates from this single site, its wheel and stones largely unchanged since restoration.
