Abbey Ales has brewed cask ale from Camden Row since 1997, when Alan Morgan set up the city's first brewery in over fifty years. His son Simon Morgan now runs the business alongside head brewer Martin Langham, using Warminster Maltings barley and Worcester hops for the flagship Bellringer, a pale gold bitter that has stood as Bath's top-selling cask ale for years. The brewery has no visitor centre or scheduled tours, but runs a click-and-collect counter from the brewery itself alongside nationwide bottle and case delivery. Its beer reaches drinkers chiefly through four Bath pubs the brewery also owns, including the Star Inn and the Coeur de Lion, both traditional cask houses in the city centre. Bellringer took five Gold awards at the Taste of the West competition in 2025.
