Arts Collective is an independent contemporary art charity on Guildhall Road in central Northampton, formerly known as NN Contemporary Art. It works with artists at all stages of their careers, presenting a programme of exhibitions, commissions, talks and public conversations, with free admission to the gallery. Recent work has extended beyond the walls into projects such as digitising the Northamptonshire Black History Archives, reflecting a remit that mixes exhibition-making with community and archival work. As a registered charity and company it is governed independently rather than run by the local authority, and it sits close to the town's theatre and cultural quarter. The gallery typically opens Wednesday to Saturday, late morning to late afternoon.
