Bay Leaves Larder occupies a shopfront on Hiltingbury Road in Chandler's Ford, where owner Sarah Guilder has built a delicatessen and coffee shop around Hampshire's small food producers. Guilder sources cheeses, charcuterie, breads and preserves directly from growers and makers she meets at farmers' markets and Hampshire Fare trade events, alongside stocking artisan brands such as Godminster's organic cheddar. The counter is licensed to sell local gin, wine, beer and cider alongside its coffee and cake offering. Breakfasts and light lunches are served through the morning, with homemade cakes baked on site. The shop also puts together afternoon tea boxes and hampers for collection, caters finger and fork buffets for private events, and hires out vintage china for parties. A children's colouring corner and free wifi make the deli welcoming to parents and shoppers alike.
