Black MoonDistillery

Black Moon Distillery is a small gin producer based on the Rich Industrial Estate on Avis Way in Newhaven, incorporated in 2020. The distillery produces a Sussex-blend London dry gin using eleven botanicals, including grapefruit and orange zest, chamomile and elderflower, giving the spirit a citrus-led aroma. Bottles are distilled and blended on site at the unit, which the company registers as its base for distilling, rectifying and blending spirits. The gin is listed among local producers by the Lewes District Food Partnership and sold through independent stockists and online. As one of the newer spirits producers to set up in the Newhaven area, it adds to the town's small drinks-manufacturing base alongside the port's established marine trades. The operation runs from working industrial premises rather than a visitor centre, with sales handled directly and through local shops and bars that stock the bottle.
