Klayskool

Klayskool is a pottery studio on the Ditchling Common industrial estate, just outside Hassocks, offering beginner to advanced instruction across wheel throwing, hand building and glazing. Courses run as taster sessions, multi-week beginner blocks and dedicated bowl-throwing or vase-making workshops, alongside a mixed skills course that moves between wheel and hand-building techniques. Members with their own practice can book open-access studio time by the session or hire the on-site kilns for firing work made elsewhere. An artist-in-residence programme brings in visiting potters to teach masterclasses and show finished pieces around the studio. The space is set up for total beginners as much as returning students, with staff on hand through each session rather than left to work things out alone. Gift cards let newcomers try a taster class before committing to a longer course.
