White Lodge

White Lodge is a three-room bed and breakfast run by Ann and Martin from their home outside Cooksbridge, a few minutes' drive north of Lewes, set across ten acres of grounds. Each of the three en suite bedrooms, including the Woodland Room, is decorated individually, and breakfast is cooked to order on an Aga, with guests choosing from a full range of hot options rather than a set plate. The property has its own parking and secure bike storage, useful for guests cycling the Downs, and a two-night minimum stay applies for most bookings. Its position between Lewes and Glyndebourne makes it a regular choice during the opera festival season, when Ann and Martin often serve breakfast earlier to fit around performance times. Direct bookings by email are encouraged over third-party sites. The house holds a five-star food hygiene rating.
