Bookhaus

Jayne Pascoe and Kevin Ramage — booksellers of long standing — opened Bookhaus at Wapping Wharf in August 2021, and when they retired in 2025 the shop did the most bookish thing available: its manager, Darran McLaughlin, crowdfunded the purchase with Phil Wrigglesworth, and the pair now own the place they had already been running. The stock keeps its radical, internationally-minded slant, the events keep coming, and the shop's 2023 shortlisting for Independent Bookshop of the Year still fits. New owners, same shelves, same harbour.
