Fox &West

Fox & West occupies a corner shop on Wells Road in Totterdown, opened in 2017 by friends Lucy Fox and Hannah West after several years searching the area for the right premises. The pair, who met while teaching, stock fresh bread baked daily, a rotating selection of local cheeses, and store-cupboard basics sold with minimal packaging. British and West Country produce is prioritised where possible, and a portion of stock is vegan or gluten-free. A weekly donation goes to a local food bank. The shop keeps a genuine neighbourhood-grocery footing rather than styling itself as a specialist deli, with regulars dropping in for bread and a block of cheese rather than a curated hamper. Lucy and Hannah still run the counter themselves day to day.
