Bridgend Garden Centre has traded from its site on Ladybank Road, on the edge of Freuchie near Falkland, since 1986, when the family who still run it first opened the nursery. The centre grows and sells plants, shrubs and garden supplies from its single Fife premises, with staff offering planting and maintenance advice built up over nearly four decades. An on-site cafe, the Gardener's Rest, serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea to customers browsing the plant houses and outdoor beds. The business has stayed under the same family's ownership throughout its history, expanding its range of stock and catering rather than opening further branches. It sits a short distance from Falkland, drawing custom from across central Fife.
