The Central Scotland School of Jewellery operates from Craft Central on the High Street in Dunblane, teaching hand-skills in metalworking to students ranging from complete beginners to working jewellers. Founded by jeweller and tutor Jo Pudelko, reported as launching around 2017, the school runs weekday term-time classes covering piercing, soldering and texturing, weekend intensives in techniques such as sand casting and resin work, summer schools, bespoke sessions including wedding-ring making, and bench rental for practising makers. Small class sizes are used throughout, with tutors drawn from backgrounds including Edinburgh College of Art and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. The school later helped launch a sister venture, the Central Scotland School of Craft, in 2021. It occupies a single teaching space in Dunblane rather than a retail shopfront, and its output is the skills and pieces made by the students and tutors who pass through its benches, rather than a fixed retail stock.
