Radical Weavers runs as a working weaving studio in Stirling's old town, registered as a Scottish charity, where visitors can watch cloth being made on the looms and join hands-on tartan sessions ranging from a one-hour taster to a full day's weaving. The shop sells what is produced on site, including scarves, wraps and pouches woven in both traditional and custom tartan setts, alongside a curated range of Scottish-made gifts. A permanent display, Stirling 1820, explores the city's radical weavers of the early nineteenth century and the social history behind the trade. The combination of retail, teaching space and exhibition gives the Murray Place premises a different character from a conventional gift shop, built around the craft happening in the room.
