Chard Museum

Independent charity museum in a converted 16th-century listed building on Chard's high street, originally four cottages and a former inn. Opened in 1970, it holds the John Stringfellow aeronautics display and the James Gillingham artificial-limb collection, both relating to local 19th-century inventors.
