Perry's Cider has operated at Dowlish Wake, near Ilminster, since 1920, when William Churchill began pressing apples from the surrounding orchards. Four generations later the business is run by the Perry family, who still ferment cider naturally in a sixteenth-century thatched barn that doubles as a small museum of traditional milling equipment, alongside a farm shop and café.
