Daniel Musselwhite has made jewellery since 1995, having trained as an apprentice at Church House Jewellery in Bristol before setting up on his own. He now works from Studio 9 at Black Swan Arts, a community arts centre on Bridge Street in Frome, with a ground-floor studio shop trading alongside the workshop. Using silver, gold, platinum and palladium, he makes commissioned pieces, wedding rings and remodelled or repaired jewellery, drawing on the landscape around Frome and on principles from martial arts practice in his approach to form. He also teaches jewellery-making classes for beginners and more experienced students from the studio, and has appeared on the BBC Two series All That Glitters: Britain's Next Jewellery Star. The studio is open to visitors on weekdays between 10am and 4pm, with the studio shop trading Wednesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.
