Doodles has occupied the same corner of Marchmont Crescent since 1999, making it one of the longest-running pottery studios in the city. Visitors choose from shelves of unglazed bisqueware, then paint their pieces at worktables before staff fire and glaze them for collection about a week later. A separate programme covers hand-building and wheel-throwing, run on set dates and booked by phone rather than online, since clay sessions need supervision that a website booking cannot capture. The studio works with children's parties, hen and stag groups, nurseries and corporate teams alongside walk-in customers, and stays open seven days a week to accommodate them. The space is small and functional, built around long worktables rather than individual booths, with paint pots and glazes stacked along one wall.
