Douglas Heritage Museum is run by Douglas Heritage Museum Trust, a registered Scottish charity (SC022058). Its material covers pre-history Douglas, the origin of the name, the Black Douglasses, the town, local sites, famous locals, personal histories and local traditions. Open 14:00 to 17:00 on Saturdays and Sundays from the first weekend in April to the last weekend in September, with other times by appointment. St Bride's Kirk, managed by Historic Environment Scotland, has been closed since 2022.
