Gilbert's Nursery

Gilbert's Nursery sits on Dandys Ford Lane at Sherfield English, on the western edge of Romsey. Nick and his team grow the majority of the nursery's stock on site, from summer bedding and hanging baskets to shrubs, climbers, perennials and vegetable plants, alongside dahlias grown as a particular specialism. Helen runs the attached tearoom, serving breakfasts, soups and other homemade food until mid-afternoon, and dogs are welcome on short leads throughout the grounds. Staff give hands-on gardening advice to visitors browsing the polytunnels and outdoor beds, and a loyalty card scheme rewards regular customers. The nursery also stocks compost, tools and bird food, and offers a local delivery service for larger orders.
