Hawgrip Plant Centre has grown plants on its Seine Lane site in Enderby for more than twenty-five years, originally under founders Colin and Helen before a local brother-and-sister team took over in 2017. The nursery grows much of its stock on site rather than buying in ready-grown plants, covering bedding, shrubs, trees, herbaceous perennials and seasonal displays across polytunnels and outdoor growing beds. Attached to the nursery is the Old Duck House coffee shop, serving drinks, cakes and light lunches with outdoor seating overlooking the growing areas, which has become as much a draw as the plants themselves. The centre also sells pots, compost, tools and gardening sundries, and offers advice from staff who work the nursery day to day. It remains independently owned and run from the single Enderby site, with no other branches.
