Holme for Gardens is a family nursery and display garden run by Simon and Liz Goldsack on the edge of Wareham, set beside the River Frome at West Holme. Alongside the nursery, which sells shrubs, perennials, climbers and trees for Dorset gardens, there are several acres of planted grounds that open under the National Garden Scheme and which visitors can walk through separately from the retail area. The Orchard Café on site serves food using produce grown on the nursery where possible, including fruit from the orchard that gives it its name. The business has built its reputation on the display gardens as much as on plant sales, with borders and a wildlife pond that are maintained year-round rather than only for a single open weekend. It keeps longer hours on weekdays and Saturdays than on Sundays, when both the gardens and café open later.
