Mount IdaPottery

Purpose-built ceramics studio on Mount Ida Road at Banbridge, run by Trevor Woods, who has made and taught pottery for forty years, thirty-six of them alongside full-time teaching. He works with his daughter Ellen Woods, a first-class graduate of Plymouth Art College. The pots are mostly earthenware-fired and draw on the pair's rural County Down background; they are stocked by galleries and craft shops across Northern Ireland, and commissions are taken. Hand-building and throwing classes run daily.
