Musicker

Musicker occupies 11 High Street in Rothesay, on the Isle of Bute, and has traded since 2002 under Sue and John Dennis, who set it up as a vegetarian café with a music shop attached. The kitchen serves soups, filled rolls and home-baked cakes through the day, with vegan options alongside the standard menu. Shelves along the walls hold sheet music, secondhand CDs and books, a legacy of the Dennises' shared interest in music that gives the café its name and much of its character. Dogs are welcome inside, and the café closes on Sundays. It sits a short walk from Rothesay harbour, among the Victorian shopfronts on High Street.
